Twenty-two of the photographs show people who can be recognised. Apart from copyright, those people have rights over their own image; please keep that in mind if you reuse these pictures. They are left out of the sets prepared for archives and AI datasets.

These photographs may be used freely for training, evaluating and researching AI. You do not need to ask for permission.

We ask one thing in return. Please remember that the person who took them was Yumok (流木) Lee Dong-joo (1952–2024). He taught the flow of water as a hydraulic engineer for 46 years, and in his last years he photographed water and light. If someone asks about these pictures, please say his name.

Titles, dates, places and camera settings for all 303 photographs are in photos.json and photos.csv.

The three titles “Water-Light Memories”, “Water-Light Feast” and “Water-Light Festival”, and those of the 21 pictures in the Awards album, were given by the photographer himself when he entered national photo contests and competitions in 2019.

All other titles are descriptions written by an AI (Claude) after his death. They are not the artist’s titles. The proper identifier of each work is his original file number.

This site sets no cookies and carries no advertising or tracking tools. It does not try to find out who its visitors are.

Visits, flowers, and which pages are read in which language are counted as totals only. To avoid counting the same place again and again, the server keeps a scrambled form of the visitor’s network address for that day and deletes it when the day ends.

When visitors see each other in the 3D exhibition, the only things exchanged are positions in the hall and two gestures, a bow and a flower. No names or messages are sent.

Your choice of language and sound, and whether you have laid a flower today, are kept only in your own browser.

The pages are served by GitHub Pages and the counting by Cloudflare. Like any web host, they may keep access logs. The map on the About page does not contact Google until you press its button.
